• Childhood cancer is rare, with less than one percent of all cancers occurring in individuals ages 19 years and under.
• Approximately 54 children( ages 19 and under) are diagnosed with cancer each year in Hawai‘ i.
• Cancer is the third leading cause of death in Hawai‘ i among children ages 1 to 14 years old.
